Some Woolman Ancestors

Mary Woolman Comfort & William M. Avery Mary W. Comfort was born June 5, 1811, the fifth child of nine born to Stephen Comfort and Mary Ivins. Mary was married to John Avery in 1833 and five children were born to the union.  Of these five children was William M. Avery, born May 24, 1834, shown below. The portraits are thought to have been painted by William's daughter, Grace.

The portraits are in the possession of a descendant, Eric Mueller, and these pictures are courtesy of him.
